

Romotur, is a DMC located in Bilbao with more than 16 years of experience in the incoming and MICE business. We work mainly in the area of Green Spain, Barcelona and Portugal and our proposals are from small vip groups, up to big conventions and incentive trips. Some of our last programmes are based on Wine and Gastronomy offering different activities, like wine tastings, cooking demonstration, culinary courses, sports exhibitions, etc. We are members of the Bilbao Convention Bureau, Great Wine Capitals, Grupo Europa and AEDAVE.
Some of our recent clients: Renfe, Ericsson, Banca Cassa Padana, Metro Bilbao, Cirque du Soleil, Televisa, Noroil-Grupo Eve, Ulma, Basque Government, Fundación Metropoli, Diputacion Foral de Bizkaia, and different professional colleges Tourist offices (Paris, Chicago, Milan..) as well as a wide variety of cultural and artists associations.


Although you can simply refer to him as David, his full name: Jesus Maria David Elexgaray Alonso Arteche Busto Arrospide Achicallende, Honorary Basque of the Houndervilles David is our “right arm” — someone we depend on and from whom we solicit advice.
He does advance work with and for us. Although born in Liverpool, England, he returned to Busturia, Spain in 1972. It is the Basque home of his father’s family, which he now calls home. He earned a degree in English language at the University of the Basque Country. David also completed a post-graduate course at the University of Deusto in Bilbao that enhanced his expertise in Guide and Tourist Information. Employed initially as an English teacher, his adventuresome side beckoned him to travel. A nature-lover and bird watching enthusiast, he now serves as guide for Bilbao & Beyond, Barcelona to Bilbao, and custom and private tours in the Basque Country

Txabi treasures every opportunity to tell a story, a gift allowing him to immediately turn strangers into newfound friends. In fact, he’s got a yarn or two about attending high school in Great Falls, Montana. Details, details, details… Txabi is about details. We count on him to keep us focused.
He earned his degree in English language at the University of Deusto in Bilbao. He also completed a post-grad course there, enhancing his expertise in Guide and Tourist Information. He is a certified guide for the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao.
Txabi is among the few who speak Basque. He serves as a guide for Bilbao & Beyond, Barcelona to Bilbao, and private and custom tours through the Basque Country.

Jon was born in 1957 in Amorebieta (Bizkaia). He speaks Español, Euskera and is also very fluent in English, French, Italian and German. He has travelled widely, including several visits to the United States.
Jon started working as a guide in 1988 in Mallorca and he has worked and lived in Suiza, and Lanzarote. His experience includes working with V.I.P. clients like the King Husein de Jordania and also with very large cruises.
Jon lives part time in Lanzarote and in the Basque Country.
